Common challenges to implementing effective EDI strategies in HE
Championing diversity
Universities by design are diverse organisations with a wide range of occupations, disciplines, and perspectives.
Thus it is imperative to build a strong leadership culture around talent management, diversity and inclusion, symbiotic relationships, and managing stakeholders effectively.
Universities play a crucial role in society. It is critical that as they reform to increasingly reflect the communities that they aim to serve.
In recognising this is a critical component of HEIs civic contribution, we work with universities to develop strategies and interventions that create more inclusive environments in which to work, study and partner.
Programmes of work
Examples of our programmes of work include:
-
Developing and cascading a 360-degree feedback model with a large scale function.
-
Bringing together key leaders of the university’s professional services to develop ways of collaborating to make the best decisions.
-
Supporting the redesign and alignment of key leadership portfolios of the university’s senior team to ensure clarity of expectation.
-
Engaging workshops with senior leadership teams and their councils to shape strategies into actionable items that encourage execution in partnership, rather than isolation.
